Journey to Home

Moharipur is my birth place and I lived here 17 years before going to Kanpur in 2001. After 2001, I visited this place for once or twice in a year but never noticed anything about it. For first 17 years I was part of it so there is no question of observing anything different. Later visits, I usually spent most of my time in home and don’t give any concern over this place. So what happened this time? The reason might be the terrible whether, long electricity cut and my laptop’s battery malfunction. All these forced me to move out of my home. I will just write what I noticed in my town though it’s all there since my childhood (These observation may not be different from other town)

1. Why jamun is sweet?

In the heat of 24th June 09, no electricity after 1 PM, I came out of home and went into my uncles LIC office (people call it office). Then a person named P (I am not writing the names here though it hardly matter) came with jamun. Jamun were too sweet and I asked him “jamun to bahuta mith ba kaise”( Jamun is so sweet how?). He replied “Bakari ke kareja ke khoon chadhal rahal”(he offered blood from goat’s heart). I thought he is joking but came to know that Yes people do offer blood for sweet fruit. Next time when he met I just said that it is non-sense but he laughed and went.

2. A trip to naani ghar by uncle’s car

Naani ghar is nearly 40 km from my hometown towards Nepal. I have decided to visit the place along with my friend and cousins. We left our town around 11:30 AM. On the way, my cousins offered Prasad to a famous temple. They also asked me to do so but I said that I am not in the mood. For my naani ghar, I have to take right turn on brick-road. As soon as we took that turn each and every person was staring at us and I was embarrassed. After nearly 10-15 minutes of this we finally reached at our destination. We went in and started usual chit-chat, suddenly I heard my uncle’s car was shouting (My uncle’s car has very sensitive sensor and if anyone touch it with firm force it will start shouting). Some children were touching it and running away. I asked them not to do so but they didn’t stop. After sometime my Mama went outside and shouted on them. Ok everything was right now and 10-15 minutes passed. Again I heard the same shouting and this time I went outside in bad mood. I went outside and saw a hilarious scene. A hen was hitting the tyre with its nose and then flies away again come back and do the same. J I was laughing

3. Marriage of maali

This instance reminded me Raju Srivastava’s shadi jokes. As soon as I reached home I am constantly hearing that Maali’s son (Gardener) is getting married. Few people say that the girl is not good few say girl is good. One evening few of us were chatting, and then groom’s father came and said “are jitu kab aila hawa, betwa ke shadi ba ho. Janat bata 60 rupiya kilo paneer aur 25 rupiya kilo chaur mangaile batin. Aur haan canteen se mithai ba aur ladakin wale se chowmeen bhi kahele bateen rakheke. Awa aur panner shaneer chowmeen kha ke ja(Jitu! When did you come? My son is getting married. I asked girls father for paneer of 60/- rs per kg quality and rice of 25/-. And also there will be sweets from canteen and chowmeen. Come and eat paneer and chowmeen)” and he left with this invitation. After he is gone people started saying “dekhala kaise akad ke ba. Jaisan lagat ba ki tu kabbo paneer khailahi naahi bata aur chowmeen jaisan lagat ba ki bahut badi cheej ba(Look! How arrogant he is. He thinks that you never eat paneer. And chowmeen is very big thing. Huhhhh). Other said “who will go to the maali’s marriage and all caste related thing. My brother said that he is inviting for the first time so he is only excited nothing much. One person has rejected to go just because maali was a little bit late to offer lunch. All this made me think that how deeply caste and personal ego is imprinted in my town (previously I think that there is no caste related problem in my town atleast I have never seen it)

4. Fake 500/- rs note and wrong acquisition

This particular incident made me ashamed of my town. There were few hand-pipe repairmen in town. One of them got 1000/- note. He came to Mr. X‘s shop for change and got two 500/- note. Around 15 minutes passed; again same man came and said that one of the 500/- note is fake. Mr. X, first tried to convince him that it is not fake. But after few arguments, repairman said “take these two 500/- note and return my 1000/- note”. This time Mr. X just refused to give and said that I didn’t give you change. Repairman tried to argue but lost (as Mr. X is powerful). Poor repairman went after cursing Mr. X. After all this wrongdoing Mr. X came to one of my friend and said “One business man gave me this fake note and I was trying to remove it so finally I did”. My friend said “If you have guts then why didn’t you gave it someone who is rich and whose family would not be affected by this 500/- .” When Mr. X left my friend said that he would like to beat this man. I said he will be punished directly or indirectly.

5. The anguish and pain of parents whose girl is going to marry

This is more or less on the state of arrange-marriage in India. One person (Not me of course) is ready for marriage and my father knows him well. So my father tired to find out a good girl for him. My father sent many rishta to him but he rejects most of them (reason dowry, sometimes education). Before going further I must tell you that the boy is graduate and working in government service (He got the job with bribe). For one rishta my father went to him but the father of girl was not offering good dowry to him. So the boy rejected the rishta(it was just a question of small thing). My father said to him that girl is good looking, graduate and presently doing B-ed. Boy replied “main koi paan wala ya phir machhali ki dukan wala lag raha hoon jo ki itane kam paise me shadi kar loon( am I a shopkeeper or fisherman? Why should I marry for such a low dowry?)”. Father of girl was nearly in tears and said to my father why did you bring me here? My brother said to the boy “ye shabd tumhari shadi me bahut badha dalenge(your words will make your marriage difficult)”. The father of girl said to my father that he spent so much of money on girl’s education and now he is not getting a good boy for her daughter. This is the state of arrange marriage in town.

Void Theory

The VOID Theory……………..

If we go back in time and observe from there we can see that there are many theories which are dropped with time. We are continuously providing with new theories and this is also the case of basic structure of mater. At the start of time (Time 0) there is Void then how things created? When man started wandering about the basic structure of things, they started breaking it. In start we have broken the mater into molecules and say that there is void between molecules. Then we broke molecules and said that it is made of nuclei and probability cloud of electrons and of course void. Now we have string theory (many of us don’t believe in this theory????) and we say that everything is made of strings and void between them. The only thing is common till now is void between them. What if we broke strings again????????..........

I might be wrong but I think that everything is made of Void (space). But the question is then why things are different??? I don’t have any answer L

One of example given by one of my colleague is:

There is right angle triangle ABC (/_B =90) length AC and AB+BC is of course different. If we break AC into tiny stairs and follow that then the length will be same as AB+BC. Even if make stairs too small (tending to 0) the length will be same until we made length and height 0.

So my point is whether we can prove that this particle cannot be broken? I don’t think so. Again we are going to break particles what we will get finally????? VOID

A tribute to GANDHI : Man of millennium

So 30th January 2008, 60th death anniversary of man of millennium and this article is tribute to father of our nation. Many of reader may think that this is biased opinion and may be this is. Yesterday I was reading comments on rediff on a article for this sorry day. I do disagree with few thinking of Mahatma but I also agree that I cannot think or see from Mahatma’s level and so I can’t comment on correctness of his thinking. From these comments I learnt how people think of our father of nation. The comments and reason behind these, I think, were due to lack of knowledge or their ego. That’s why I will put some facts here. Many people blame him for partition of INDIA but what I have read shows that he opposed partition and even after partition he was trying to bind two countries again. According to Book “freedom at midnight” Gandhi was planning for trip from Delhi to Lahore on foot. He was planning to take all Hindu refuge from India and come back with all Muslim refuge from Pakistan. And if that would have happened the relation between these two countries must have been better. So how can somebody blame on Gandhi for partition?

Other comments were that he did all for his political benefit and congress glorified him for party benefit but most of the people forgot that he had given up all his wealth, health and even his family for spreading the message of love. None of his family members were/are in politics. I also disagree with people who relate Gandhi to congress. Mahatma Gandhi was for India actually for World.

Few of people still thinks that Gandhi was not awarded by Nobel Prize because the other world thinks that he did nothing for humankind. For them I am quoting some Nobel Laureates and scientist and please take a look at nobelprize website.

"Gandhi was probably the first person in history to lift the love ethic of Jesus above mere interaction between individuals to a powerful and effective social force..."
-Martin luther king

http://nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/peace/articles/gandhi/index.html

About his truthfulness and boldness read his autobiography. I have read three autobiography and the difference between them is: Gandhi’s biography states only events with complete truth (when you read it you will feel it) while other generally gives their achievement and how hard they have tried for that but little details about failure even after trying hard. In “my experiment with truth” you will find his failure in same spirit. If you want to know him I will suggest reading it

My tribute to Mahatma is to clear the doubts of people who think he was no-one

Generations to come, it may be, will scarcely believe that such a one, as this, ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth

PariTrana

PariTrana
"May you be tough as a Rock"
- Rig Veda (LXXV-XII)

http://paritrana.org/

http://www.orkut.com/Community.aspx?cmm=8062020

Paritrana is a political party formed by some educated and sensible people. Trana means the act of relieving a conscious entity from the state of distress or pain. However, this relief may not be of permanent nature. (Paritrana) is the complete relief implying the end of the very cause of distress.

This party is formed by the people who have left their carrier opportunity to build INDIA a better place. Some of my friend says that it’s such a system that people who get in will be changed. But I believe that one can not change the system without being part of system. If they are getting into the gutter to clean it, then we have to be the rope and oxygen to support them. Every people, on the earth, has some skill set (even animals have and they know their skill better than Humans) and we can use that skill to build the Nation, World a better place. I can be part of economic development and yes I will (but right now I am working for Japanese company, Shame on me). Similarly many people are fit for politics and they should get into this and seek our support. But, what will happen if they won’t get our support on right decision, work, and action? Yes, they might become corrupt and again we will get an example of

“System changes People, People don’t change System”

The second biggest problem is BHEDCHAL. Each individual should think before supporting anything (even Paritrana, or Parents). You shouldn’t support because a people/party is supporting that. Believe me if you start supporting only for right thing they will do only right thing.
I don’t know about future but hope for the best.

How India is affected by Gate?

When I got the news that Gates is in India, I thought it must be some type of business visit and yes I was right. Yesterday(8-dec-05), while reading Economics Times on the net I got the first glimpse of “how Gates and N R Murthy are common” then many news from his breakfast to dinner(thank god, they haven’t entered in the bathroom) . The news which I think is important was announcement of 1.7b$ investment in coming 4 years. This investment will definitely improve India and its economy. This is the one way how Gates affected India.

A day before yesterday, when I was on the way to home from office, I heard from some corner that NDTV was broadcasting an interview of Gates and Murthy. After 10 hrs in office I was in no mood to hear the interview. After taking my dinner I went to Juicewala. While he was making juice for me I have just asked “Apaka dhandha kaisa chal raha hai”(how your is going). He replied in little bit sad mood “Bhaiya aaj thik nahi hai” (today its not good).I inquired “kyun”(why)?. He said “ koi videsh se aaya hai usika interview hai 9:30 pe log wohi dekh rahe hai koi bhi tak nahi aaya”(some one has came from foreign and interview was being broadcasted do people didn’t come to me today). This is another way how Gates affected India.

A journey to Indian Restaurant in JAPAN…

After getting bored with noodles, after trying raw fish (susi) I have decided to have a dinner in Indian restaurant named Arati Restaurant. My one colleague and me searched the map to the restaurant, on the net. We left the office on 7:00PM and started walking along the streets (Believe me I got the toughest time in life to get that restaurant.). As I entered in the restaurant I was on the nineth cloud to hear NAMASTE and song tere liye but my clouds got vapored out when I saw the pricelist for Indian food. (1000Rs for chana masala and 200 for nan.) We have ordered 1 Chana Masala , 1 Paneer Masala, and 3 nan and then started some gupsup . Very soon we became very friendly with restaurant owner (he have been in Japan since 1996) and he started asking us about India. He was memorizing his childhood, his best time in school, and many things. He also inquired the price of CHAY in India. I saw the pain in his eye but didn’t dare to ask why he was in Japan.

Then the most exciting incident occur I saw Dr. Y N Mohapatra(prof. IIT Kanpur,Physics Department)(remember PHY102N). He was in Japan for some conference. I have introduced myself to him and started conversation. He offered me Paneer Tikka and then started giving lectures on values and ethics.(it was very boring)(only thing I remember is what he said to his Japanese friend “our student is everywhere in the world”). Suddenly I heard the voice of owner informing about my food. When we were leaving the restaurant I got very pleasant bye from Mohapatra and concession for 1 nan.
It was one of the best experience in Japan...

Where is the problem?

India is getting ruined due to politics, bureaucracy, corruption, and many reasons. I have heard this line many times from people and read it in some Blog (“Mera Bharat Mahan Series-one of my friend’s blog”) pointing out every problem of India. May be after reading this blog you will say that I had done the same thing.
Am I contributing in this problem? The answer is YES, I am. I have consumed a lot of resource of India and now working for Japanese company. Institute spent extra 33,000Rs per Year as a scholarship on me and I am earning money for someone else.
A person who is helper for me earned 3.5 lacs Rs(in hand) per month and i am getting money less than him. In spite of this I am happy (I dont know why?). Why should I work here? Why don’t I work in any native company? At least they will not discriminate in this manner.
Japanes got the worst thing to eat, worst place to live and still they are one of the developed nation. And another side, we who got one of the best thing to eat and envoirnment to live and still we are 25 yrs back.

Now I am feeling shame on myself. I am confused ……
